DOT HAZMAT AND RCRA HAZARDOUS WASTE TRAINING
Presented by: David S. Webster of HRP Associates
David will present a comprehensive RCRA seminar designed to provide both entry-level and experienced environmental managers with a thorough review of state and federal hazardous materials and hazardous waste regulations. The two-hour segment is designed to assist industry in meeting their annual RCRA training requirements. Regulatory examples and case histories will be used during this seminar to emphasize and reinforce aspects of the hazardous waste regulations. As required by statute, a written exam will be given at the conclusion of the presentation to ascertain the attendees complete understanding of the course materials and requirements.
David Webster, CSP serves as a EH&S Project Manager for HRP Associates in Farmington, Connecticut. His project portfolio includes EH&S compliance audits, training, building and overseeing EH&S programs, regulatory reporting and aiding in regulatory permit requirements.
ROB SHELDON of AQUASGROUP
Rob will talk about process rinse water management and how Zero Limit Discharge (ZLD) is seen to be the future of metal finishing. He will tie that into efficient equipment design, such as doing what can be simply achieved to minimize rinse water contamination in the first place, and the rewards of this approach to solving potential discharge problems.
DEV MASSIMI of AMERICAN PLATING POWER
Dev will give a presentation on the review process necessary before purchasing a new rectifier. This segment will focus on factors to consider such as technologies available, degree of protection, ripple, correct sizing and control methods, to name a few. A power source that efficiently produces quality product can mean less chance for rejects. Reject rework can add additional unnecessary strain on wastewater discharge systems.
